Careful, it's the County's crazy Mis-Guided Bus plans that are responsible for the proposed on-street bus stop. To make this bus stop exclusively for their white elephant service, they propose to ban all other city bus services, and spread them out to new stops in Victoria Road, Maids Causeway and Jesus Lane. The stop in MC will require the removal of some of the historic railings and daage the streetscape. The bus layover in VA is also damaging tree branches as mentioned in the Tree Team's report. The plans for MC are subject to planning approval, which the residents are resisting.

Theat is the problem with employing 3 full time tree officers, the devil makes work for idle hands! Note that none of the tree officers do any real work of felling, pruning etc.

I would have thought the council would learn from past mistakes and not plant a row of trees at the same time!

Also why lime trees? They leave an incredibly sticky mess under then and also taint any honey.
