By October 2007 the signs had still not gone up, so I reminded Mr Beaumont and he replied:

Mr Taylor

Thank you for your E-mail. We fully intend to get these signs up asap.
However there has been a delay in receiving the banding equipment to
enable us to secure the signs to the lampposts. I hope to have this
equipment within the next two weeks and then we will get the signs up.

Martin Beaumont Promptly Replied:

Dear Mr Taylor in answers to your points below:

The camera at Elizabeth Way is one of our's and you are right that some cameras do not have signs at the moment. These are now on order and we expect delivery very shortly and then all cameras WILL be signed. I do not agree with the councillor about not signing cameras and we will put them up.

The sign opposite the main Post Office in St Andrews St is there to indicate a camera location. However with the building works going on for the new Bradwell Court area we had to temporarily remove it but again it will be back up in the next few weeks.

The size of signage and distribution of the same is a difficult one and we have to work with the County Council who control the highways. They are rightly concerned about the large number of signs that are around the city and also about the size of the signs. So we are complying with their wishes.

I will state again that this CCTV system does not use covert or hidden cameras nor will we use dummy cameras.

The Annual Report was sent to our IT people in April for inclusion on our website. There have been some problems but that is no excuse and I will chase this up today.

I hope this answers your questions. Finally I attach a copy of the last Annual Report for you.
