In an interview published on efestivals.co.uk the Leader of Cambridge City Council, Ian Nimmo-Smith has said:

"They clearly had it, but there has been no details about what actually happened to the money, it was supposed to be put into a client account which was separate from anything else, according to the contract."

When asked if he had warned others using the company he said:

Until we knew what the basis of their failure to pay us is, we have not wanted to warn off others. However, we feel we have given them (SecureTicket UK) a fair chance, and we have tried our best to contact the people responsible."

When I contacted the Godalming Theatre Group, who are still selling tickets using SecureTicket UK they appeared not to have been previously aware of Cambridge City Council's situation. They told me that they had not had any problems so far receiving their money, but were obviously very interested in what was happening.
